Kora Terms of Service

Welcome to Kora, a mobile application designed to foster meaningful connections in a safe and respectful environment. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Kora mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”) provided by Hallden (“Service Provider,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Community Guidelines, Child Safety Policy, and Privacy Policy, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

To use Kora, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
  • Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws or these Terms.
  • Comply with our Community Guidelines and Child Safety Policy, which strictly prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at kalle@kalletech.com.
  • Not create multiple accounts or impersonate another person.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we suspect fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Kora in accordance with our Community Guidelines. Specifically, you must not:

  • Engage in or promote illegal activities, including child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) or child sexual abuse material (CSAM), harassment, hate speech, or fraud.
  • Share or solicit sexually explicit content, nudity, or pornography.
  • Use Kora to spam, scam, or mislead other users.
  • Violate the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
  • Attempt to access or interfere with the Service’s systems, networks, or data.

4. Content and Interactions

You are solely responsible for the content you post, share, or transmit through Kora, including profiles, messages, and calls. By using Kora, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and display your content solely to provide and improve the Service.

We may remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines. We also reserve the right to monitor interactions to ensure compliance with our policies and applicable laws.

5. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using Kora, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Child Safety

Kora is committed to preventing child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We strictly prohibit any content or behavior that exploits, endangers, or abuses children. Violations will result in immediate content removal, account suspension, and/or reporting to authorities as required by law. For details, see our Child Safety Policy. To report concerns, use the in-app reporting feature or contact our designated CSAM point of contact at kalle@kalletech.com.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Kora at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for reasons including but not limited to:

  • Violation of these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
  • Suspected illegal activity or risk to the safety of other users, including child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) or child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
  • Inactivity for an extended period.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease, and we may delete your account and associated data, subject to our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

Kora is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service Provider and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Kora, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Service Provider and its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of Kora, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We are not liable for any losses or inconveniences caused by such changes.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted at https://kalletech.com/terms-of-service, and we will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Your continued use of Kora after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the Service Provider is based, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Kora shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

15. Messaging Policy and Opt-Out Instructions

Kora may send you transactional SMS messages, such as one-time verification codes or important account notifications, when you register or sign in using your phone number.
By entering your phone number and requesting a verification code, you consent to receive these messages. Message frequency is one message per request. Message and data rates may apply.

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to the message you received. After you send STOP, we will send you a confirmation SMS stating that you have been unsubscribed and will no longer receive further messages. If you wish to resume, reply START at any time.

For assistance with SMS messages, you can reply HELP at any time. When you send HELP, you will receive an SMS containing information on how to contact our support team. You may also reach us directly at support@kalletech.com.

These keywords (STOP, START, HELP) are supported on all carrier networks in the United States and apply only to transactional messages sent by Kora. No promotional or marketing messages are sent through this channel.
